David Archuleta

One of my favorite songs right now is 'Crush' by David Archuleta. I really like the tone of his voice, very smooth but not too overwhelming. I've seen him performing 'when you believe' and 'a thousand miles', he's really good. Not surprisingly, it turns out he was a singer since a very early age.

Look at 'im, he's so adorable! He was a lot younger in this, singing Alicia Key's Falling:-

And pictures of young and present David for those in UTP who can't watch you tube. Don't thank me ;P

No offense to Cook's fan, but I thought David archuleta should've won American Idol. You go, Archie!

This Holiday I Feel Blue

This must be the least exciting holiday. All my plans are screwed up, and I've got TONS of assignments. I go to sleep having panic attacks thinking about work. I need to know how to calm down. The holiday just looks bleak at this point despite having a shopping spree last 2 days. I bought a gorgeous jacket by the way.

I'm in no mood for a festive celebration at all. I wish things would fast forward to my internship.

Quotes

“ A human being should be able to change a diaper,
plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship,
design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts,
build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders,
give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations,
analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer,
cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly.
Specialization is for insects. "
-Robert Anson Heinlein (via ckck)

And I've gotta agree with what he says. So first I'm going to plan an invasion...

A Week of Mishaps and Misfortunes

Due to 'staggering' demand of a new post, I decided to cut my hiatus short and put an end to the misery of my friends--you know who you are; and besides, there's some pretty intense stuff happening over the week.

Aside from two tests, and aside from the usual mish-mash, I thought last week was the unluckiest week for people around me. One person got into a motorbike accident, a lecturer fell down and fractured her humerus (this was the word the doctor used to describe her upper arm) and my poor max popped out an eyeball. And by the way, Max was my Syrian hamster.

If anything else could go wrong, it would be last week. And it actually did. We hit a stone wall with our group project and to be honest, I feel like I should blame my supervisor for steering us away from the original plan. Mr Thorpe, how did you manage to waver all of us?

To top the week of mishaps and misfortunes, there were two consecutive tests on Friday and Saturday, which I must say is quite a beat in the head.

That was last week in a flash, though the weekend was quite pleasant for such a dreadful week and it involves some retail therapy and good food at Iro Iro. So I was re-energized for a brand-new week. That's how it goes.

Hiatus

I've been busy for the past one week, and I expect the same for another week. It's mid-semester, and everything is happening all at once. Plus if you remember, my college internet service is totally unreliable. So, the blog will be on a hiatus until September 27. Stay tuned.

Rainbow in Tronoh

This is the first rainbow I've seen in many years since the last time I saw one. Even on a 2MP camera phone the rainbow looks nice.
